three to the ditch on the right.. and eighteen wheeler and several other cars off to the shoulder on the left.. .. She wondered what had happened... when she saw something big and black rolling down the road.. "oh" she thought to herself.."the eighteen wheeler must have had a blow out" ..
but as she drew closer she noticed the tire piece appeared to moving.. and the people in the vehicles.. instead of running over to a car. ..they were running over to the tire? .. she was puzzled..
as she drew near she heard the cries.. she still hears the cries .. and wimpers... as she drew closer.. she saw it.. ..the Rotwieller (kitty spelling doesn't count) .. confused... hurt.. and struggling to get up.. but it couldn't.. it appeared it's back was broken... as she passed.. not wanting to stop.. knowing that someone was probably about to put that poor animal out of it's misery .. and unable to watch it.. she noticed .. the vehicle that was the apparent lead of the pack... a PICK UP... what happened?
well either the owners had to slam on their brakes.. and the poor Rot.. who was apparently enjoying the wind blowing .. and the rush of the ride... had fallen out.. or.. the dog had seen something.. and jumped out? .. How could this Tragedy have been avoided? .. well .. one.. you wouldn't let your child ride in the back of your pick up? would you? I would hope not.. since it's illegal ..(at least in Texas it is) . . or two. the dog could have been restrained.. a lead.. (attached to harness on the dog) only long enough to allow the dog to reach the sides of the truck.. and no more *please make sure it isn't longer..* a friend told me about a dog who jumped out while restrained..hung himself over the side of the truck.. and his feet were dragged down the road..*it wasn't pretty*.. could have prevented this tragedy.. and my owners nightmares.. and that poor dogs owners nightmares *kitty sobs*
